A Long Weekend in NYC
As the Easter 4 day weekend is approaching, what better way to celebrate than taking a city break to New York. We’ve provided a rundown of our favourite places.
Friday
Day time
Breakfast at Bubby’s. An elegant take on a classic breakfast treat.
Must try: Strawberry, rhubarb pop tarts bursting with flavor.
Why not see the beauty of New York's waterfront and spot the city's landmarks by taking the Circle line sightseeing cruise.
Then have a late lunch at Artichoke Basille Pizza.
Evening
Visit the Empire State Building followed with a evening time stroll at Times Square.
Have an authentic Caribbean dinner at The Miss Lily’s Family.
It is a lively Jamaican style Diner & Juice Bar and a Caribbean Rum Bar & Jerk Shack. The island connection runs deep at Miss Lily’s through its modern approach to classic Jamaican cooking, friendly and cool-as-can-be staff, and vibrant and colorful atmosphere.
Saturday
Daytime
Breakfast at Sara Beth’s
Go wandering down 66 Perry Street, where the famous Sex and the City was filmed and take pictures of Sara Jessica Parker apartment.
Visit Central Park, you can go sightseeing by Horse and Carriage ride or bike riding tours.
Why not grab a quick bite at Tompkins Square Bagels before letting your hair down at meatpacking district.
Must try: Bagel with rainbow of cream cheese.
Evening
Visit the Gansevoort Meatpacking District NYC for a cheeky dip in their roof top pool during the summer.
Visit a NYC Rooftop Bar after sunset at one of the city's many rooftop bars. Sipping a signature cocktail amid warm breezes and twinkling lights will have you falling in love with New York with a perfect view of the Empire State Building.
CATCH Roof Top Bar
Nestled atop the building at 21 Ninth Avenue, CATCH Roof Top Bar is a downtown destination for in-the-know New Yorkers, where panoramic views of the city skyline set the stage for an intimate experience, any time of year. Come early and dine al fresco on the outdoor terrace and stay late to enjoy the nightlife scene at this notoriously chic Meatpacking district.
ABC Kitchen
ABC Kitchen in the flatiron area so good and so nice on the inside! - Great for dinner and brunch all free range and organic food. Definitely worth checking out. If you go for dinner we recommend trying the halibut, it's amazing.
Must try: Kettle Corn Sundae - Mix salty and sweet with this salted caramel ice cream at ABC Kitchen, topped with candied peanuts and popcorn, and whipped cream. Oh, and don't forget the decadent hot fudge.
Sunday
Daytime
Pick up some hot, made-to-order mini madeleines sprinkled with powdered sugar for a treat at Dominique Ansel Bakery to enjoy whilst exploring the city.
Visit the Brooklyn Bridge and take a picture.
Book a spinning class at Soul Cycle [I would suggest to book this in advance as these classes are very popular]. If a class is full, you can choose to be added onto the waiting list.
Evening
Dine out at Barbuto, which is an amazing Italian restaurant in west village, New York.
Must try [dinner menu]: Insalata di Calamari: Montauk squid, Castle Franco, Little gem & Chili aioli.
Monday
Daytime
Breakfast can be dessert if you add enough chocolate at Clinton Street Baking Co.
Must try: Chocolate Chunk Pancakes.
Spend the day shopping at all your favorite shops on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue [photo opportunity with an iconic yellow taxi].
Enjoy a late Lunch at TAO NYC – Pan-Asian restaurant in a club like setting atmosphere.
Before you leave, don't forget to grab some mouth-watering chocolate éclairs from Bouchon Bakery.
